The excitement surrounding the STEM Teens Innovate program has reached new heights following the recent Fresno County Science and Engineering Fair. This annual event celebrates the creativity and scientific skills of students across the region, and this year's fair was nothing short of spectacular.

Two standout students from our program emerged as winners, earning prestigious awards and advancing to major competitions at both state and national levels. Their dedication, creativity, and hard work deserve commendation as they prepare for the upcoming California Science and Engineering Fair and Thermo Fisher's Junior Innovator Challenge.

Celebrating Stellar Achievements

The Fresno County Science and Engineering Fair served as a platform for aspiring scientists and engineers to showcase their projects to a panel of judges. Among the many talented participants, the STEM Teens Innovate students stood out with exceptional projects that secured top honors in various categories.

One student captured 1st Place in the Psychology Category and was named the 8th Grade Sweepstakes Runner-Up. This project explored the effects of different background colors on the cognitive learning ability of teenagers.

The other student also secured 1st Place in the Plant Science category.

A Bright Future Ahead

Both students are now gearing up for larger competitions, specifically the California Science and Engineering Fair and Thermo Fisher's Junior Innovator Challenge. These events are known for their high standards and competitive nature, attracting participants from across the state and nationwide.

The STEM Teens Innovate program has been instrumental in nurturing talent and providing students with essential resources. Under the guidance of our dedicated mentors, these students gained hands-on experience that allowed them to develop projects that address real-world challenges.
